Le Drian considère qu’il faut « renforcer la dynamique antiterroriste de l’action militaire dans le cadre de ce qu’on appelle l’opération Takuba avec les européens ».

Selon lui, ce nouveau modèle d’engagement représente « moins d’ancrage mais plus de muscles ».

« Elle effectue ce déplacement avec ses homologues estoniens Kalle Laanet et tchèque Lubomir Metnar, deux pays qui participent à la Task force Takuba », précise le communiqué sans donner plus de détails sur la durée et le programme de sa visite.

« Les trois ministres acteront la pleine capacité opérationnelle de la Task force Takuba étape majeure pour ce regroupement inédit d’unités de forces spéciales européennes au Sahel qui rassemble aujourd’hui des militaires estoniens, tchèques, suédois, italiens et français pour accompagner les forces maliennes dans leurs opérations », indique la même source.

Le communiqué précise, en outre, que la ministre des Armées « profitera de ce déplacement pour rappeler à tous les militaires de l’opération barkhane sa fierté quant à leur engagement face au terrorisme et sa confiance en leur action au quotidien dans des conditions difficiles ».

La visite de la ministre française intervient au lendemain de la publication par l’ONU d’un rapport accablant pour les forces françaises déployées au Mali.

Le rapport d’enquête menée par la mission onusienne au Mali (Minusma) sur une opération menée le 3 janvier dernier par la force Barkahne à Bounti (centre du Mali) révèle, en effet que le bombardement a visé des civils qui assistaient à un mariage tuant 19 parmi eux, contrairement aux affirmations de la France qui dit avoir visé des terroristes.

Réagissant à ce rapport, le ministère français des Armées a remis en cause mardi la véracité des témoignages recueillis dans le cadre de cette enquête et réitéré ses affirmations selon lesquelles le bombardement n’a visé que des terroristes.

Le Régime syrien a annoncé, lundi, que son président Bashar al-Assad et son épouse, Asma al-Assad, ont été testés positifs au coronavirus, affirmant leur mise en quarantaine.

C’est ce qui ressort d’un bref communiqué de presse publié par la Présidence du régime syrien, via les réseaux sociaux.

Le communiqué a indiqué que Bashar al-Assad et son épouse Asma ont été soumis à un test de dépistage du coronavirus, suite à l’apparition des symptômes correspondant à la contamination au coronavirus.

« Les résultats du test ont confirmé leur infection par la Covid-19 », ajoute le communiqué.

La même source a rappelé qu’Al-Assad et sa femme se portent bien et que leur état de santé est jugé stable. Ils continuent d’exercer leur travail pendant leur période de quarantaine à domicile, qui durera entre deux et trois semaines ».
